Re: growing up

I never wanted to grop up either lol. A girl may usually start her period between the ages of about 12-15 years old. But that doesn't mean you can't get it earlier or later. All our bodies have different schedules. So you may possibly get your period very soon, or a bit later.  I got mines at about 11 years old, and I'm 19 now. I get really bad cramps every time I get my period. To get rid of the cramps, I usually take a painkiller like Tylenol or Advil, drink alot of water, take warm showers or baths ( a shower seems best to me during this time), and eat bananas and alot of green vegetables (ie, spinach, lettuce, ect.), you should also try excercising... I hope you feel better, and honestly it sucks having your period sometimes due to pain, but its not as bad as you think it might be. :smileyhappy:

Re: growing up

im the same way. i get really bad cramps all the time. u could sttart any day now or in a year or months from now. i get moody too. eat chocolate or peanut butter. it helps! or go for a walk or listen to music. i do listen to music when im rly rly rly moody. and to help with mood swings or pms dont drink a lot of soda or eat sugar. dont eat a lot of salt. to relief cramps take a hot bath or a heat pack or ibuprofen. and take a nap.

Re: growing up

I was 12 when I first got my period and I'm currently 23. Since i started, cramps were always my biggest issue. Sometimes it would wake me up in the middle of the night, causing me to walk around the house until the wee hours of the morning for them to calm down. other times i felt if i forced my body into a 'ball' like position, it would make the cramps less intense. I remember being in school and it never failed once a month, id go home due to the crazy ,intense cramps id get. and sometimes id have to leave work early because it would be too much to bare.Unfortunatly this is part of being a lady and theres nothing we can do to 100% stop it from happening. But there are things that can make the 'ride' more managable to deal with. Me. myself,  i find Midol, tons of water, and heating pads to be my savior, sometimes. More now, its the end of my cycle that becomes the most uncomfortable, the 'bowling ball' effect. Im sure most of us know what im talking about when i say that. the feeling that there is a heavy 'bowling ball' right at the edge of the entrance to our vagina. Its most irritaing lol. If it becomes more than bareable , maybe consult with a doctor and see what other options they may have for you to relieve the pain =)

hope things go well for you =)

I didn't want to grow up either but don't worry you"ll get over it. You won't get cramps or periods everyday you'll just get them at least once a month some Dont hurt some do. Take pain killers like Advil and Tylenol ,Motrin work 2
