Try to shave in the direction of hair growth. I know you don't really do that when you shave your legs, so idk why it makes such a huge difference for "down there" but trust me: It really does!
Try not to wear tight clothes (especially underwear) right after you shave.
I would also suggest using lotion or conditioner when you shave. It works really well.

Like the girl above me said, shave with the grain, I did that for a few months n my skin got more used to it, now I shave against the grain and it's just fine (and I have really sensitive skin) make sure you use shaving cream and stay in a really warm shower for a few minutes before, it will open your pores and make it easier, moisturize after and don't wear underwear for a lil while afterwards.

I used to get those every time I shaved, too. I think it's pretty normal.
What I did to fix it was:
-Shave in the same direction as the hair grows (like the previous posters said)-- this is the best tip there is, but it didn't work for me because it didn't get a close enough shave, so I started shaving across the area so that I got a close shave but still wasn't going against the grain.
-If you shave in the shower, make sure your water is close to your body temp-- water that is too hot or too cold can cause goose pimples, which raises the skin and then become irritated when it is shaved over.
-Shave with lotion-- it makes the shave smoother and leaves the area moisturized, but try to use natural or unscented so there's less of a chance the skin will be irritated by those things.
-When you dry the area after shaving, dont rub-- this is what has caused most of the irritation I get after shaving; just gently pat the area dry.
-Immediately after drying, pat whole area with unscented baby powder-- this tip has worked wonders for my skin in that area after I shave; it soothes and prevents any irritation from getting worse.
-And of course, use a good razor-- I have a seperate razor for that area and it's a bit of a more expensive one, although I think that the most important factor in a razor is not letting the blades get worn out.
I hope these help! :]
