Your Body Issues

Alrighty, I'm 14 and I've had my period 3 times so far and my 4th will be due in about a week. I really don't like pads. I've already stained 2 pairs of underwear and maybe I'm crazy but sometimes I feel like I can smell them. My close friends and I had a little girl talk about periods today and they all seem to think tampons are wayyy better. My mom is a christian and she believes that if I use tampons, I won't be a virgin anymore ( she doesn't believe in pre-marital sex). I know that thats complete bs and I tried explaining it to her but she wont listen. She also believes that if I use them I'll get tss. I've even showed her the pamphlets from school that show that they are safe but she just wont change her mind! She explained to me that like 7 years ago when she used tampons for the first time that it hurt like crazy and it is horrible. I already have tampons and I'm seriously considering using them behind her back.

kay irst of all since u only haad 3 periods id wait to use tampons. i wated a year before i used tampons. and i bet everyone has ruined a few pairs of underwear by their periods. i have. thats why i always wear my ugly pairs during my period. and yeah its true u can get tss and it is fatal in some cases. and you should respect your moms beliefes. but ur still a virgin when u use tampons. the only way to lose ur virginity is if u had sex. so either talk to her again and tell her why u hate pads. im with u on hating pads. they never stay in place and yeah they do stink -_- if she doesnt let u and us till bleed through ur pads buy a higher level of obsorbency. good luck!
