I like to write a lot. I write stories and poems, and my school has a literary magazine. I would like to send a couple poems in (my stories are too long) to the teacher, but as of right now, I don't think I could ever work up the nerve to let somebody else read it. My poetry comes from my emotions and what not, so maybe that's why. Plus, I'm not even sure if it's any good. Nobody has read anything that I've ever written. So I have two questions:
1. Is my poetry any good? (if you are good at this, then ask me to send you a message with the poems because I don't think I want to post them for everyone to see), and...
2. How do I work up the nerve to let other people read it?

I'll take a look, if you'd like. Don't feel self conscious about it, I'm sure you're an excellent writer ![]()
And, really, no one knows who you are here. You can post to your heart's content because it's all anonymous.
If you could, ask your teacher if you could use a pen name in the magazine so no one would know it's your stuff.

i would love to read your work. im sure you are very good and i know where your coming from. it took me forever to allow people to read my stuff. but you know what helped me. I found this teen writing site called teenink.com. you should look it up. you can have a user name so no one ever has to know who is writing what. and if you have and even harder time there is also an anoymous oppion so that no one can trace your work to you. this site allows people to comment on your work. and i have been on it for two years and i havent gotten one single bad or negative comment. and i have also become more confident in my work because at first i saw all these great teenage poets and i got afraid that mine wouldnt stand out at all against all this great work but i ended up getting four editor awards and have become so much more confident.
i hope i helped and keep on writing

1. I'd love to look at them!! I really love poetry and I'm sure you're really good!!!
2. Maybe for the first couple ones you send in, keep them anonymous if that is an option! It will help boost your confidence and people will probably be wondering who the amazing author is, so then you can put your name in it! ![]()
