So I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I have known this girl (let's call her M) for a year and a bit now and our friendship has grown so much it's unbelievable. We are really inspeparable and teachers and our friends are always saying we're like a married couple. I love her so much, I don't know what I'd do without her. She's just my life
Anyway so one day, we were in English class, and she wrote a code "WSSTSLMIGALFIMS" and she said she was really embarrased by it. So by the middle of the lesson, I had figured out the code and it was "when she says that she lives me I get a lovely feeling in my stomach". She said that I was right and that she was really embarrased by it. I just shrugged it off cos I didn't want it to seem as a big deal (and I could tell that M didn't want to talk about it).
I already knew that I have sexual feelings towards her. I'm just a bit hesitant on whether she loves me back. She's always asking for hugs and she holds my hand, even in public and sometimes I find her staring at me in the corner of her eye. And she's always finding excuses to touch me. And sometimes I find her staring at me and I look at her she smiles at me, but it's not her regular smile, it's a smile that seems that she's really happy I noticed her; genuinely happy.
But I haven't had the guts to tell her yet. The problem is that our families would never allow us to be bi or lesbians and if they found out, they would be very upset. But I can't take it any longer! I have I tell M how I feel about her, I just love her so so much that it hurts. Please help me! I'm really confused, am I bi? (I've dated boys before) Does she love me back? Do I really love her or is it just a phase? Should I tell her?

We had a convo over text a few days ago and the conversation slowly progressed into this:
Me: I'm sorry for bringing this up. It's about the code thing. Did u really mean it?
M: of course I did
I get this really nice feeling in my tummy and it makes me really happyMe: but I haven't told u I love you face to face...
M: so? I haven't told you...
Me: do u want me to tell you that face to face?
M: no I'm just saying that I haven't told u face to face
Me: do u want me to?
M: do u want me to?
And then there was a really long silence were both of us didnt text anything. And then I changed the subject straight after that xx

you're really good at figuring out the code lol. if it was me i'd never have got that
but yea, the way she acts with you it def seems like she likes you a LOT.
next time you see her, just be like "hey, remember our text? well i'm gonna say it.....i love you" and then see how she reacts. if she's really REALLY happy then tell her "and i mean i REALLY love you"
if she looks pleased but not like ecstatically happy you could just pass it off and don't say any more or maybe make out you said it cause you love her as a friend.

I dont really blame you for chickening out. I think id be the same way lol. I mean its a pretty big step to take when you dont know how shes gonna react. Do you know if she even likes girls?
before you take the step of asking her out, try and find out if she likes girls. Its gonna be REALLY awkward if she doesnt.
Just like say to her (in a general way) "what do you think about same sex relationships" or something like that, and see how she reacts. If she seems cool about it, itll make it a lot easier to say something.

About those other girls changing your friend........can you like talk to her and say that she seems to be acting differently since shes been hanging out with them? Maybe she doesnt even realise it
