Re: Paranormal

My house is supposedly haunt. In fact, every fraternity and sorority on my campus is supposedly haunted. I didn't believe my house was haunted at first, but after a two months of living here there's been some weird stuff going on. My posters fall off the wall, our command hangers break, our door locks on it's own, etc. Oh, and my roommate started sleepwalking last week, which she's never done before.

The really freaky thing is we know who our ghost is. Her name is Sandy and she use to be a Sister in our sorority. My roommate saw a psychic who asked her if she was experience paranomoral activity, and guessed that we had a ghost, but a good one. She also said that my roommatem, Melanie, looks like her, and Melanie had never seen a picture of the ghost before. So I took her down to where Sandy's compset picture is and showed her. They're both blone with a similar face shape.

Even scary, we googled information on Sandy and we fond a newspaper article about the ghosts at our school and it said she haunts the third floor near the fire escape. We knew her room was on the third floor (which is where we live) but we didn't know which one. Our room is right next to one of the fire escape! But I convinced myself it had to be the other fire escape. Well apperently the pyschic told her our room is her old room.

I know most of this stuff can be explained away, but it's still scary when you live there.

The scariest story I've heard about Sandy is that a guy and his girlfriend were having a fight so he went into the bathroom to cool off. A girl that he had never seen before walked out of the stall and told him he needed to leave. He was freaked out and told his girlfriend about the creepy girl he didn't reconize. So she took out Sandy's old compset picture and asked him to point to the girl. He pointed right to Sandy.

Honestly I didn't use to believe in ghosts. I think I still don't. But now I'm questioning it.

Re: Paranormal

I've always felt there is an old man, a friendly old man in my room. Once at 3AM I was lying awake and heard a little girl, (maybe she was 8 years old), running along the landing outside my bedroom door, laughing. I was a little freaked at first, but smiled after as it was rather sweet. :smileyhappy:

On December 4th 2009, when my dog had to be put down due to cancer, at 11PM I walked into our living room and saw her, only for a second. She looked me in the eyes and was laying in her usual spot by the coffee table. It was her way of telling me that she's okay and is not in pain anymore. She was always in my room looking after me, and I could feel her at the end of my bed later that night. Also at some point I could smell her breath (you know that horrible breath dogs have) well it was strong. REALLY strong! It was as if she was breathing in my face. That was scary, but kinda nice knowing she was still there. Her death hit me the hardest as we were so close, and I knew she was with me everyday until I bought a cat, knowing the cat would keep me company now she was no longer there to do so.

And on my 17th birthday a few years ago, she paid me a visit :smileyhappy:

Re: Paranormal

I am also a firm believer in the paranormal, and Ive certainly had my shares of things happen!

One time in the summer, I was walking up a realy really big hill , sweating my a*ss off. This woman started walking down the hill on the opposite side of the street really quickly, and we made eye contact. She looked like a very very harsh, angry woman, and I remember wondering why she was wearing long pants, hiking boots, and a long sleeved shirt on such a hot day and how she wasnt sweating. I had a really eery feeling and I thought to myself thats someone I wouldnt want to piss off.
So she passed me (still on the other side of the street) and I after a couple minutes, I looked behind me and she was now walking up the hill, instead of down. I was really scared at this point haha and started walking as quickly as I could. She was a MACHINE though, and passed me within minutes, and then disappeared. Literally, she disappeared.

My great grandmother used to haunt her old house after the peoople who moved in renovated it, and she used to turn on and off lights and tvs, etc, and used to appear wearing a purple dress. Well when I was about 3 years old, we were in the house and apparently I was talking about the lady in the purple dress standing in front of us.

I remember also when I was really young, I woke up in the morning and was staring at the wall because there was all these shadows of people on the wall. the shadows were moving, and I was too scared to get out of bed.

Also, I still see it sometimes now - but when I was young I used to leave milk out for the cat I used to see all the time, both in and outside of our house. We did not have a cat at the time, and we did not have any neighbours with cats at the time.  The people who first lived in my house and who built the house used to have 16 cats.
