The Cheerleader
Rah! Rah! Go Raiders! The year is 1956 and everything is just peachy in the small town of Ocean City, NJ. It's the 50s-Why wouldn't it be perfect? In Ocean City High, everyone competes to be best in the class, all the girls want to be Varsity cheerleaders and all the boys want to be Varsity... Well, anything. Everyone's happy and everything's sunny. Of course, the teenagers of Ocean City are normal teenagers as well. Not just holding hands, kiddies, they want everything that we do. Basically, this RPG is about different girls and guys growing up in 50s, dealing with the anxiety of asking someone to go steady, "getting fresh", etc. etc.
Characters:
Girl 1 (taken by OhMonDieu!): Junior. Her life is perfect. She's got two parents who love her (though they spend a bit too much time redecorating their house), plenty of close friends, and she's a JV cheerleader and desperatlely wants to be the girl yelling and standing on top of the pyramid. All she wants is to make everyone approve of her. Especially GUY 1, who she has had the worst crush on since freshman year. She's shy sometimes so she has no idea how to talk to him.
Girl 2 (taken by suchasweetheart) : Junior. Closest friend of GIRL 1 and an absolute knock-out. All the boys love her though she's been going steady with GUY 2 for a while now and is a little scared of how much she cares about him and vice versa. She tried the cheerleading thing-Not her gig. Instead she's in the Drama Club, though all of her friends are cheerleaders. She doesn't mind. When she's on stage, it's almost always about her-Just the way she likes it. Used to go steady with GUY 1, which makes things a bit awkward for her and GIRL 1.
Girl 3 (taken by transmileyx) : Junior. Other best friend of GIRL 1 and GIRL 2. Moved to OC in eighth grade but fit in just fine. She's very outspoken, sometimes a bit too much, and she's not afraid to talk about things that most people shied away from in that time. JV cheerleader as well. Has a thing for New Boy, GUY 3 and his cute little British car.
Girl 4 (yazrra2006) : Junior. She's the girl that GUY 1 has been going out with, and she'd love for him to ask to go steady, especially because she's been putting out since their second date. Kind of a bitch and isn't too appreciative when GIRL 1 seems to be getting closer to GUY 1. JV cheerleader.

Guy 1: (taken by mchawtie) Junior. Mr. Perfect. He's on Varsity football, all the girls adore him, and he's just so adorable! With that cute smile and easy, flirtatious mood, it's difficult to not love this kid. He's not super smart, but he's not an idiot either. He's more in depth than most people realize. Unfortunately, the main thing on his mind right now is getting laid, which means going steady with some girl. GIRL 4 is an option, but GIRL 1 just has the most interesting ponytail...
Guy 2: Senior. Varsity basketball. He's been going steady with GIRL 2 for a while but now the threat of college and of other guys is starting to get to him. He loves GIRL 2 but he has this creeping feeling that she's not going to be faithful to him when the summer begins.
Guy 3 (taken by cherry-bomb) : The New Boy. Junior. He's on the Varsity basketball team and a total cutie. He's kind of shy, so he doesn't have too many friends, though he has noticed GIRL 3 slowly trying to work her way into his life more and more, but he's not about to complain. He's thinks she's actually pretty swell.
Guy 4: Junior. The big football player. Girls love him as well, but they know what they're getting into when they start dating this guy. He's big and cuddly like a teddy bear, but he's ferocious on the field and something a bit persistent when it comes to backseat of his car. He's been getting fresh with GIRL 4 as well, but he's also been eyeing up GIRL 2. Whoops.

Daphne 'Sunny' Day. 16. Junior.
Sunny is an incredibly bright and charming girl (hence the nickname). She is the embodiment of the perfect girl: she gets all As (despite her crippling self-doubt), cheers on the JV team (even though she knows absolutely nothing about football) and has plenty of friends. She doesn't smoke, she rarely drinks and has only had one steady boyfriend. Sunny is feminine, but sometimes has a biting side that gets her by with her two incredibly snarky best friends ( Girl 2 and Girl 3).She's a parent's dream and many a boy's desire. Her shyness can come off as snobbery, but she's to her core a sweet and compassionate person. She's completely oblivious to the boys who wish they had the courage to talk to her, however. No, she can't pay attention to anything lately because she is positively giddy about Guy 1. She thinks he is terribly handsome and such a swell guy, and she can't help but twirl her signature high ponytail whenever he's aorund. She just doesn't know why he wastes his time with Girl 4, but Sunny has realized that that just may be how life works: if you want something too much, it'll never be yours. So she's chosen to be as aloof as she can manage... Easier said than done with those sweet baby blues of his.
