Hi I have another post in here concerning a possible HIV infection the good news is I didn't have thrush and my suspension of jaundice was also wrong it ended up just being plaque on my tongue but recently the sides of my throat have been feeing a little tight I asked around and a co worker told me I might possibly have swollen lymph nodes I began researching online and found many causes but HIV stood out I has protected sex abt 4 weeks ago and every since ice been having break downs at least 3 times a week there were no difficulties with the condom...I also survived a flu epidemic tht took place at the daycare where I work both of my bosses got it and so did abt half of my students I remained not affected by the sickness my question is it possible tht I'm experiencing these possible swollen lymph nodes at random or is it a symptom of HIV...I also believe I have developed Burning mouth syndrome due to excessive anxiety tht I've been under for the past month...I need help I don't have anyone to talk to...everyone I'm close to is tired of me

You had protected sex. Protected. 

In all this research you've done to convince yourself you have HIV, you clearly haven't ACTUALLY researched HIV. Nor have you actually gone to a doctor, though I might suggest you seek mental health-related treatment first. You've been having 3 breakdowns a week for about a month. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to attribute your symptoms to be psychosomatic and not real in a literal sense. I believe you're experiencing the symptoms that you are, but you've been posting all sorts of things about all these diseases you're sure that you have...I sincerely believe they're all in your head.

You convinced yourself you had liver failure? And you got that from what--sex? And now swollen lymph nodes, which are an indication of an infection/illness of basically any kind, are supposed to be a sign that you have HIV? If we're going to be alarmist here, they could also indicate cancer. Or the plague. Or you've finally gotten hit by the flu or a cold, considering you've been exposed to QUITE A BIT of germs lately. Not to mention you work in a day care, and illness runs pretty rampant there.

You know why you cannot get tested for HIV for SIX (6) MONTHS after you're exposed? Because that's the EARLIEST you can detect it within your body. Many people living with HIV are asymptomatic for years if not decades. Even if you did defy all logic and contract HIV, you wouldn't know it for another FIVE MONTHS. And that's only if you chose to get a blood test. 

As for burning mouth syndome, it can apparently also be related to poor mouth hygeine, and if your "jaundice" was actually just a bunch of plaque in your mouth...That could be the culprit too. OR you've convinced yourself that you have it and so now you do. 

Look. I don't mean to be harsh...well, actually I do. THIS IS INSANITY. Want to know what you have? GUILT. You clearly should NOT have had sex. You clearly were NOT ready. Now you've gone of the deep end, trying to convince yourself that you're dying. You DO need help, it's just not for the myriad of nonsense you've convinced yourself that you have. Stop trying to use google to be a doctor and go see a fricken doctor.

Never research symptoms online. Even a runny nose when researched online turns into a deadly brain tumor. ;-) Seriously.

And I agree with flamingoccm. Not every bodily twinge or ache is liver failure, HIV or something super serious. You're a huge hypochondriac.

Reading your reply really snapped me out of it...I appreciate your bluntness it was what I needed but so tht you could understand the reason for my suspicion I just recently found out tht he once had unprotected sex with a girl that was rumored to have been born HIV positive....before we had sex I asked him several times if he'd been tested and he assured me tht he had and he doesn't have anything....I agree 100% with you I WAS NOT mentally ready I was physically and emotionally bcuz I could care less if he ever called me again I just want to be healthy I really hope tht I am over reacting and because if this experience I am seeking help from a professional....thanks so much for your wisdom & support....I'm also setting up an appointment with my doctor so he can give me a full check up so I will no longer worry )

Yeah i agree now....I'm trying to stay away from searching symptoms online I see that's the main problem...I appreciate your help
