i like this boy, called tom, i dont talk to him often because were not in many classes, so i dont have a chance, but my bestfriend is in quite a few classes with him, and they talk more than me and him, i'm getting jealous and seem to think he likes her, he's really quiet and only ever smiles at me, doesnt tend to have big conversations with me...what does this mean and how do i accept it if they do end up dating or whatever

Does your bestfriend know that you're interested in him? If she does & she dates him anyway she isn't your bestfriend. Start a converstation up when you do see him, try to see where his mind is. Don't try to figure out how to accept him with somebody else if you haven't tried to get him for yourself. A lil bit of small talk could go anywhere! Hope it works out.

Does your friend know you like him? Does she like him?

If she doesn't like him, she can talk to him about you and even invite him out with you and a couple of other friends so you can talk to him more.

I had a similar situation and I thought the guy liked my best friend and I was jealous about it when in reality she wasn't interested in him and she had been talking to him about me and so he asked me out and we dated for 2 years in high school.
