I am almost 17 and a half years old. Have never had a boyfriend before. Is this okay? 

Lots of exposure to guys, though. They either like me, and I do not like them, or I like them, and they do not like me.

Is this normal?

I asked that exact same question when I was 17. What's normal and not normal isn't important. Not having a boyfriend doesn't mean there is something wrong with you or that you will never find love. It just means you haven't had a boyfriend yet. Whether its because you aren't ready for a relationship or you haven't found the right guy.

I didn't have my first (and current) boyfriend until I was 20 (I dated before that but it wasn't anything serious). You can't go by normal, because there isn't any real normal. Just hang in there and try not to worry about having a boyfriend or not having a boyfriend. Just focus on being 17 and enjoying your life. It sounds hard, because it is on most people's minds a lot, but the more you frame your mind around just being you and having fun being 17, the easier it will be for you to find someone.

i personally think this is completely normal. i didnt get my first boyfriend until i was 18 when i was in college. i had talked to guys in high school but never got in a relationship. my best friend is 21 (same as me) and she's never had a boyfriend. She's kissed guys, but not with meaning, just through fun and being drunk. dont worry about getting into relationships. you're yougn and have sooo much time for guys.

I agree with the other two girls. It is totally fine to be 17 and never had a boyfriend. I didn't have a boyfriend until I was 18 and we are still together. 

I think it's important to realize that at your age, the guys around you are not really mature and ready for a real relationship. Hold out for a guy who will treat you right. It will be worth the wait.

Screw normal. Relationships mess up perfectly happy people. No reason to rush into them.

I didn't go on my first date, have my first boyfriend, or have my first kiss until I was 18. I think it's perfectly normal to be 17 and not have had a boyfriend. 
This isn't something you should get into if you think it's not normal, the right time will come along but getting in a relationship because it seems weird you haven't been isn't the solution.

Totally normal. It might be awhile to find someone you care about, and who cares about you.

As a girl nearing 18, I can assure you that there's nothing odd about not having a boyfriend yet. I've never been on a date, never been kissed, and never had a boyfriend. I have a PLETHORA of friends who are in their early 20s, and they've never been in a relationship.

I do think that it's almost a blessing in disguise. All throughout my teenage years, I wanted a boyfriend. I felt out of place and unattractive; weird and annoying. I thought that a boyfriend would fix that. It wasn't until I was 16 that I realized: you have to be confident and in love with the person you are before you get a boyfriend. You need to be independent and sure of the person you are. A boyfriend shouldn't be required to gain these things, and if he is, then you're not ready for a boyfriend. I'm glad that I've never had a boyfriend because I've realized how serious of a commitment a relationship is. It's nothing that I feel that my younger self could've handled. Even now, I don't think I'm ready for a relationship just yet. I love who I am, and I'm comfortable with myself, but I feel like I need to gain a bit more independence and control of my life before I can share it with someone.

So don't worry, girl. There's someone special out there for you right now. You may or may not meet him in the near future, but that only gives you time to learn to love yourself even more. As it was said on the latest episode of Glee, "Who's going to love me now? Me."

I didn't have my first boyfriend or kiss or anything until I was almost 22 years old. I did eventually enter my first relationship with a complete douchebag. I wish I could've waited to have my first kiss and loose my virginity to my current boyfriend who is beyond amazing. I rushed into a relationship with my ex because here I am almost 22 years old and have never experienced anything, so I let myself be mistreated just so that I can say ive atleast dated before. Just wait for a genuine good guy. Don't rush into a relationship with someone just so that you can say you've atleast had one boyfriend. So to answer your question, yes its normal to be 17 and have never dated. Remember good things come to those who wait.:-)
