Me and my fiance have been trying for a baby for about a month and no luck yet. Ive been using a fertility chart, checking my temperature, ive been doing all the stuff that websites and books have told me to try and still no luck. Im like starting to freak out and get depressed that i wont be able to get pregnant! I keep crying myself to sleep at night, and i feel bad that i might not be able to give my fiance a family. I want to go to the doctors to make sure that i can have a baby, but im scared of what the answer might be. I would really appreciate it if you guys could tell me what youve been doing to conceive and maybe some advice on how to get out of my depressed rut that im stuck in. Thanks!

You've only been trying for a month.

You may think "A month! That's 30 days we've not conceived!" but you *do* realize that the majority of women only ovulate once a month, yes? So a month only equals one small window of only a couple days chance in which you could conceive before your egg is flushed out.

Most healthy couples take 6-12 months of regular intercourse to conceive. You don't need to rush to the Doctors after the first month. It's a waste of money and time and they wouldn't help you anyway because you're young and healthy and they'd simply tell you what I am.

Relax. It'll happen. But it could take a few months and that's perfectly normal and healthy.

One month? That means you've really only tried once to get pregnant! There's only a 24 hour window every month that you can get pregnant, so there's no reason to freak out. It's not a bad idea to see a doc for a checkup just to make sure you're in good shape, but you really don't need to be concerned about fertility until you've been trying for 6 - 12 months.

It took me and my partner a year to concieve, and todays my due date!!

Most people take 3 months at least. Don't worry, relax about it and enjoy the process that helps!
