chronic disorganization

my entire life has been a cycle of very messy room, days to clean it, back to messy, and I used to think that was normal.  But then I found out about chronic disorganization. It's not an official illness, described more as a syndrome/symptom of trauma though I've no idea what trauma I'm supposed to have experienced.  It's also associated with hoarding, but I have no problem letting go of stuff and I dont take in without reason.  However, when I do clean, it's very nerve racking, I feel like I lose stuff once I put it away, and I immediately want to begin rummaging through stuff again in order to relieve my tension. I dont feel like it's taking over my life, but I do know this is more than being a lazy teenager, and it scares me. any help or fellows, please respond

"he loves and she loves and they love so why can't you love, and I love too?"

truth is, you were loved, and no matter what, nobody wants you gone"

Re: chronic disorganization

a lot of people deal with this. but a man who HELPED ME SO MUCH is a guy named Peter Walsh. He is a proffessional organizer, has written books and hosted TV shows about decluttering, and has been on Oprah a lot.

I have his book called Its All Too Much, So Get It Together. it talks about the relationship people have with their stuff and how to break the attachment.

If you can find it, Peter hosted an organization reality show on OWN called Extreme Clutter. at least on Verizon Fios, its on demand. He also did pretty much the same show 10 years ago called Clean Sweep.
