Hello there everyone,

As you can probably tell from my title, I'm not a big fan of Masturbating.

I am seventeen years old and a highschool senior, and I'm one of those girls who others would describe as a "late bloomer".  I am very shy and not a lovey-dovey, emotional romantic, and you'd probably have to explain a dirty joke twice over before I understood it.

Recently I read a survey on one of those health sites for women that said that Masturbation is one of those things that help a woman improve her confidence and sexual attraction.  So I said "why not? I could use a confidence boost" and tried it.  It wasn't very comfortable, and I didn't like it very much.  I though that maybe it was just like riding a bike, you have to get used to it before you can actually enjoy riding it.  So I tried it again. And again.

The truth is I'm not sure if I am just one of those weird girls who aren't sexually turned on, or if I am truly doing something wrong.  How can I try to make it more comfortable and enjoyable for me?

The best advice I can give you is that practice makes perfect, and you have to do some experimenting to figure out what makes you feel good.

Of course it always helps if your already feeling turned on when you do it. have you ever tried watching porn? Maybe you can try that and  see if it turns you on and you can see what techniques other girls use when they are masturbating.

if you've never done it before and like you're putting a finger or something inside and expecting it to work......it probably won't.

you should concentrate on your clit by rubbing it, squeezing and playing with it.

also try humping something thats firm-ish and soft like pillows or stuffed toys.

if you've got a sofa with big soft arms............omg total heaven

You could start by rubbing your clit through the fabric of your panties; that's how I started and then once you start to feel yourself getting excited you could take off your panties and try rubbing with your fingers.
