- You actually CAN be sure that neither of them have STIs if they've both been tested for STIs and come back with a negative test. Assuming they've been sexually active together before, they've hopefully gotten this part covered.
- If it doesn't hurt, it's fine. Again, your ass is not going to blow open. You can get microtears, and you can get tearing, but if they're using enough lube, the tearing is usually pretty minimal. He was able to finish, which means that it clearly either wasn't hurting her at all, or wasn't causing enough pain to cause significant tearing.
- Semen in an anus won't cause any damage unless it's by someone who's infected with an STI. Anything in her anus could theoretically go into his urethra, BUT it's not common for a guy to get a yeast infection or any other kind of infection through anal because they a) tend to push most of it out when they come, and b) their urethra is TINY
- While, yes, it might be minimally better to use a condom while having anal, if the two people are consenting and are verified STI-free, there is NOTHING wrong with unprotected anal sex.

Your ass is not going to break apart and tear open. By "tearing the lining" they're talking about microtears and little cuts. If she's using a lot of lube she is FINE. If they were dry **bleep**ing that would be a different thing. But they were using lube, and in a scenario where I'm going to assume that they've both been tested and/or are STI-free, in which case there's nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

Okay, here's what I'VE been saying: "If the two of them are STI free, anal sex is safe"
Here's what the government is saying: "many are not taking the steps needed to prevent HIV and other sexually transmitted infections...use a condom every time"
I don't think you realize that we're legitimately saying the exact same thing. HIV doesn't miraculously pop out of norwhere, nor do any other STIs. One of them has to actually have one. Obviously WE don't know whether or not they have STIs, but I've been (pretty clearly) going under the assumption that they are both 100% sure that neither of them have an STI, in which case, anal sex is perfectly safe without a condom. The reason the government and every other health agency is pushing using condoms every time for it is mainly because a lot of people DON'T get tested, or will have multiple partners within too short of a time frame to actually be able to have an accurate testing for HIV. BUT the OP and her boyfriend are in an assumingly monogamous relationship, where (again, I've said it), I'm ASSUMING they are both STI free.

Have I ever mentioned that she should have unprotected VAGINAL sex? No. The risk of STIs is still there with vaginal, but she would also need a form of birth control. With that being said, again if both of them are STI-free, and she gets on some other form of hormonal birth control, they CAN have vaginal sex without a condom, no problem! They would just have to be okay with whatever % effectiveness that form of birth control possesses.

Actually, I'm getting my information from years of working at Planned Parenthood, and of taking classes and learning from a world-reknowned sex therapist, and from the 10 textbooks on the subject in my room. So I'm sorry if I'm not following the propaganda bull**bleep** where anal sex is the worst thing possible and that there's no way to have safe unprotected anal sex, but you should really look at your own beliefs and make sure that they aren't influencing your answer.

Best way is not to take chances". Do you really think having a condom on is going to change the extent of anal tearing? Anal sex comes with risks, sure. But if they're using a lot of lube, it didn't hurt her, and they're both free of STIs, there is nothing wrong whatsoever with anal sex or having it without a condom.
