I'm in my late teens, a virgin, I am straight and I plan to have sex at some point in my life
I have a sweet boyfriend who I find very sexy...BUT.
I cannot. Just cannot get over the fact that I think penises are weird. Not exactly 'gross', I'm not 10 years old, but I just get immediately turned off by seeing them (like a picture or something- like I said I'm a virgin)
Like, a week or so ago I was kissing and cuddling with my boyfriend and when he got up to get a drink I noticed he kinda had, a, ah hard one. I became almost nauseous and completely turned-off...
This is weird as hell, and I'm confused as hell.
Helpz? lol

I've never found penis very pleasing on the eyes, but they can do great things for you haha. You aren't sexually active therefore haven't been around or seen penis a whole lot, so its okay for it to seem weird at first, I am sure you'll get used to it and probably even start to like it.

Are you sure you are straight? haha maybe more asexual hmmm
I mean I can understand thinking penises are a little weird as women are used to growing up with a vagina so they just seem odder to us. Though really if you think about it vaginas are quite weird too (haha my boyfriend and I have even talked about them being weird and how we each find the other's odder). Maybe also a little bit about being a virgin and just not fully ready for sex yet freaking you out a bit too. I really don't know what to say to you to try and help.

I'm actually turned on by the sight of a penis. That probably makes me weird...

I agree with the above user, are you sure you're not asexual or something? Penises are a little odd (I mean they're just hanging there) but I'm not repulsed by them or anything.

I think it's just a perception thing. Penises aren't that weird they're just a part of the male anatomy, when I first noticed my boyfriend having a boner I was excited, not because it was sexy necessarily, but because it had meant that I was turning him on. The first time I actually saw his penis, however, I was shocked. I had two younger brothers, I had seen tiny penises before, sometimes I had seen them in movies. I had already touched his penis, but it was different actually seeing it out in the open. It just seemed weird, and big, and I wasn't sure what to do with it now that it was here. I got over it though. Penises are basically attractive because they remind me of sex, and in particular sex with my boyfriend. His penis is attractive because it's his and the desire to do things with it, other than sex, is attractive because it makes him happy, and I like making him happy. I don't think most people have a direct correlation to the opposite genders genitals and being turned on. I think genitals tend to be attractive because of the things they allude to. Try changing you're perspective of penises, they're not necessarily gross just different.
It could be a that you're just not ready for sex yet, or maybe you should try exploring your sexuality more, what things do turn you on?

Wow...So...not about to question your sexuality.
I'm not sure penises are attractive or seductive or [insert your favorite adjective here]. They are ABSOLUTELY weird. Let's be honest: Does anyone find a vagina to be particularly sexy? I doubt it. We're not flowers. We don't make our sexual organs something to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye. They're basically functional more than anything else.
I think the fact that you've never had sex has a lot to do with it. You don't view a penis in a sexual way. It sounds like you might not think of yourself in a sexual way either. I think it's something you'll get over in time (and experience). You say you want to have sex at some point in your life, but it doesn't sound like that "some point" is in the near future. There's nothing wrong with that!

I beg to differ.
A penis can absolutely be very sexy, at least on pictures. Rigid, with a shiny head and veins webbing the shaft.
I also find a vagina very sexy, so it just goes to prove that we all see beauty in different ways!

Both vaginas and penises can be plasing to the eyes. But some can be hideous looking and then ther are some that are very much a turn on. But I think we all have to get used to seeing them because its not something we grew up with, she just hasnt gotten to that point yet.
