OT: Dents in hips

I was just wondering if any of you gurls have the same thing I do?Images may be NSFW:http://xb3.xanga.com/f4af646336732264953582/z211273868.jpghttp://profile.imageshack.us/user/ihavewei... reference I just found a couple images on the internet; neither of them are mine. They're not fat lovehandles at all, but it seems where my leg meets my hip, there's not a smooth cuve but it kinda cuts off and it looks like I'm a doll with a mismatched upper and lower body. I've been thinnish my whole life (with many fluctuations around holidays hehe), but fat seems to accumulate where "muffin top" would be and not in that stupid dent, so when I gain weight it looks even more ridiculous when I'm naked. With swimsuit season coming up, I'm feeling self conscious like I've always been because bottoms have always looked weird because they sit in that dent. Same goes for underwear (I have a boyfriend who hasn't really seen it yet), and even when I'm more toned I can't wear "wiggle dresses" or tight dresses to show off my body because of that funky hip indent, which makes it a little frustrating to go prom dress shopping.I'm curious to know if you gurls think it's because how I trained my hips when I was 12-15, wearing jeans waaaaay too tight for me in the waistband because I could get away with it b/c of no fat, or if it's just my natural frame? I'm almost leaning towards ill fitting jeans because I didn't notice it/have it until I hit puberty. Anyone else have funny dented hips?

I've always thought that was really pretty when people had that, actually.

Huh, I hope more people feel that way!I also hope that it won't complicate giving birth when the time comes. I wonder if wearing jeans with a more natural rise would help correct the problem (if restrictive bands caused it in the first place) but I'm probably done/nearly done developing so it'd be a long shot :s

I have that too! I don't know where it is from, but it bothers me sometimes. I'm pretty average but if I don't wear kind of bigger jeans it looks like I have a muffin top. But I'm learning to think who cares lol I like my body so does my boyfriend it doesn't matter what other people think. Rock that bikini girl! Like the other poster said, she thinks its pretty when girls have that. Maybe other people do too?

Yeah, I always tend to draw women with that dip. I think it's really feminine and pretty. I don't think it'll have anything to do with giving birth, women of all different hip sizes and shapes have had babies since the dawn of time, I think you'll be ok.And I'd also like to say, after further inspection, I kinda have it too.

No, but I had the same underwear that you are wearing like 5 years ago!! haha too funny.. I wouldnt worry about it. You have a great body and lots of people would kill to be your body shape and size!! I have a line going across my stomach that I think is from my jeans because I've always worn such low rise pants. Trying less restrictive jeans would be your best bet in my opinion.

Triple nice!! And yeah, I hope it doesn't complicate things, although I have a lot of time to think about it.Jewel-e: That isn't my body/undies or drawing hehe, I found those pictures while browsing yahoo answers :'3 I think I will start getting nicer, higher rise jeans. I have a pair but somehow it's a little difficult to find cute skinny/straight jeans that don't pinch and go up a tad higher. I got lucky and found a $90 pair of banana republic jeans on sale for $20 C:

I have small dents in my hips too. I think it's normal because there's nothing wrong me. Yours are a bit bigger than mine but I don't think that means there's anything wrong with you. It just happens...

My hips totally look like that, too! Drives me crazy in a swimsuit. And I doubt it was from tight jeans, because I dressed like a boy in that age gap you were talking about, haha. [p.s. we have the same name. and we're the same age. TWINS. O.O]
