Are you able to leave your house without makeup?

I for one cant. But when I do its like my mission to get back home unseen by anyone I know. I wish I had the confidence to be able to not put on any makeup & walk out of my house still feeling pretty.

Re: Are you able to leave your house without makeup?

I leave my house without makeup all the time. On an average day, I'll just put on some lipstick. When I'm feeling fancey, I'll put on presed power, eyeshadow, mascara, and lipstick. I rarely do anything else. I only wear heavy makeup when it's for a play. (You have to wear a lot of makeup on stage)

I think every girl shoulg feel comfortable in her own skin.

The world isn't a bad place. It's just full of people who forget that.

Re: Are you able to leave your house without makeup?

A few weeks ago I could, but recently I started to put on a bit of tinted moisturizer and concealer for school, because I have a bit acne. I really feel better with it on, because it makes my skin look smoother. I do perfer wearing it, because many people see me at school etc and I want to look neat, but if I'm just casually out to shop groceries or when I'm going out for lunch with my family,  I'm also okay without. I'd say it depends on the occasion.

Can I ? Yes. I really don't like to, though. It's not even about confidence. I just get these awful dark circles under my eyes and my skin gets splotchy some days and I just really look ill without makeup most of the time. If I'm in a rush I don't mind doing it though, or at least going minimal.

Re: Are you able to leave your house without makeup?

Usually I hardly wear make up to school. In the morning it's slapping on some sunscreen and chap stick. Sometimes when I feel like it I like curling my eyelashes since mascara sometimes bothers me and feels weird on my eyes. Also I like lining my lips with the 24 hour lipstick that way it stays on and I don't have to bother. Before though I couldn't leave the house without blush on because people would always comment on how pale my face looks. It took me a while to get over it and I still feel better wearing it.

Re: Are you able to leave your house without makeup?

I'm 20 years old and have never really worn makeup by choice. The only time I think I had any makeup on was my prom in 11th grade because my mom basically made me but I hated it. I was always a little behind in fashion and everything growing up hah I basically still am. But my point is all my friends and such were wearing make-up before I even thought about it. This was probably around the start of middle school. I always remember my prettiest friends would think they looked so ugly even if they didn't have on a much make-up as usual but really they looked great! That is when I decided I would never wear make-up.

I know some people really enjoy make-up as well but as for me I am also lazy and would much rather sleep in instead of getting up to do make-up and would just rather spend my money on something else. Also by this point I feel more me without it. Like I was just looking at my prom pictures and thought I looked odd.

It really does just bring down people's self confidences. I wish people could just see natural beauty instead of a bunch of fake **bleep**. People would be more accepting of their own problems if they went out and could see that many other people have the exact same problems. Though since I have choosen not to wear make-up I am the rarity in society at my age and I still do have a really low self esteem and self confidence etc. Would I feel prettier with make-up on probably but who knows because I'm not going too.

Re: Are you able to leave your house without makeup?

I guess I can, but not without feeling really insecure. I actually can over the summer. I went to an all girls camp for three weeks where everyone was bare faced, and that helped a lot. But in winter? I'd rather not.

Can I leave the house without makeup?

  DEFINITELY!

I am a very confident individual, and I think that every girl is beautiful in their own way. Most girls don't see it and think that they need to cake on the makeup to look pretty... It's sad. These days girls in 5th freaking grade are having "facial issues" if they don't have makeup on.

I have no problem with makeup if you wear it every now and then, but having the "need" to wear it all day, everyday is ridiculous. For example: My sister is an AMAZING amateur "professional" makeup artist, and she wears makeup everyday. The fact is she uses it to expresherself; not use it to make her "beautiful". Get what I'm saying? You don't need makeup to "make you look " because without it you're ugly....

Sorry for the rant, but this is an issue that annoys me to no extent.

Re: Are you able to leave your house without makeup?

I leave my house everyday without makeup.

I never got very into wearing any makeup, my sisters were a bit older than me, and it seemed a bit of a waste of time. I never wanted to be one of those girls with bad makeup in middle school, so I avoided it. I still sometimes wore it for special occasions, or would use a spot here or there for red spot, but I never really learned the right way to apply makeup.

More recently, I decided since I have no good makeup, I shouldn't really even try to apply it. I decided once I have some money in the bank, I can take my friend Regina with me to pick some out.

Not having makeup has allowed me to be confident in my own skin. I've had people tell me, I'm beautiful, and it felt really good that they saw me entirely and not just gussied up and still felt that way. I've even had a girl tell me she thought I had makeup on a few times! Guys I've talked to have also told me they don't like makeup, and prefer it to be natural looking.

I hope all the girls out there know, they don't have to wear makeup to be beautiful. It's not the makeup that makes you pretty, it might make you feel a bit more confident, but you are still beautiful without it.
