Being Single

Ok, I'm 14 years old.  But I've never dated or been kissed!  All my friends have dated, but my mom believes that the guy still has 2 always ask the gurl!   Plus, my dad thinks I have a secret boyfriend because he's convinced I should have a boyfriend by now, but I'm single!  I did kiss a guy on the back of the head when I was 5, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't count.  Boys have asked me out, but they were always boys I have NO INTEREST IN!!!  Am I too old 2 have never had  boyfriend or real kiss?

You aren't too old. I'm a few weeks away from being 20 years old and I still haven't been kissed (a couple tried). I went on my first date ever just last month and I've never had a boyfriend. Keep yourself out there and be yourself, eventually you will meet someone you are actually interested in and who is interested in you.

Don't make the mistake of dating a guy you don't like and aren't attracted to, just to try and fit in. Be honest about your feelings and keep yourself single, so that you are free when the right guy shows up.

Are you kidding? Remember that movie "40 Year Old Virgin?" It happens! I'm not saying you're going to never kiss a guy until you're 40, but being 14 and single isn't something to be ashamed of. 

It's nice that your mom thinks that the guy should ask out the girl, but what do you believe?

No way! You are so young!

When I was 14, I thought the same thing. I was SO worried that I'd never have a boyfriend or get a kiss!

All of high school, I felt that way...worried...but then I went to college and I had my first kiss and boyfriend! I was 18 so I waited a while but it was great when it finally happened because I was with a guy I really liked!

Now I'm 22 and I've had several boyfriends and kissing and things is no big deal to me now.

Don't worry about it! Just live your life and it'll happen when it happens. If it changed for me it can change for you too!!!
