Should I just give up?

Hey guys. Im nicole. I'm 15. Never been kissed, never had a boyfriend. Everyone in my age group around me has been kissed, had a boyfriend and even had sex. But I dont want to have sex :smileyhappy:. Why do no boys find me attractive or anything :smileysad:

Here is a picture of me.  Im on the right. Am I really that ugly? (btw my hair isnt black anymore, its my original ginger colour)

Re: Should I just give up?

No problem in the looks department. That girl in the middle though, with the telephone on her head, she don't look right.

I didn't find my soulmate until I became quite happy with myself being single. I did look for dates and had a few relationships that weren't quite right but they were good enough for awhile. Then I discovered my perfect soulmate when I wasn't even looking. There's a good book I can suggest (the title is actually deceptive, it's actually a book that would be good both for people with and without a relationship) Make Every Man Want You: How to Be So Irresistible You'll Barely Keep from Dating Yourself! by Marie Forleo.

I recall having the same thoughts at that age. Actually I would hear people complain they hadn't had sex for 6 months, and I would think, "6 months? Try 15 years!" (I was still a virgin, and remained one for quite a long time, but not by choice.)

Re: Should I just give up?

I'm 19, never been kissed, never had a boyfriend.

You have no problem with attractiveness. I had the same problem around your age, where I was so frustrated that no guys were interested in me. As a result when a guy came along who was interested in me when I was a 17 and a junior in high school, I was flattered and even though I didn't share the interest, I ended up encouraging him. Bad idea, we went from friendly conversation, to me basically avoiding him, because I was too wimpy to reject him.

I don't know why, but about 6 months ago, guys were suddenly interested in me. I think it might have everything to do with age, maturity, and confidence. Guys are too scared to ask girls out, so it takes a few years for them to build up the confidence to know that the world will not end if they try. In high school, guys are too scared, but by college, most of them start to warm up and have the confidence to pursue their interests.

I wouldn't give up, just know that it might take some time. Learn to be comfortable with your kissless status, I would much rather wait to be kissed by someone where there is a mutual attraction, than a dud.

Re: Should I just give up?

Sometimes you need to find YOURSELF before someone finds YOU.  Its not that your unattractive or that no one likes you, its just that you need to figure out who you really are. Its not odd at all actually, all teens go through IT. It just takes time...and remember...NEVER LOOK FOR LOVE. IT WILL FIND YOU.
