I am not gonig to give out my information my age my relationship status, i simply have some questions about abortion. I haev heard that before they do it, they give u an ultrasound and make u look at it before they do the procedure. Is this true? PLEASE only answer if you yourself has personally had an abortion. Also...I have read in a few places that the cost goes up the further along you are...say a person would be about 1 month along and got an abortion, what would that cost estimate be? Thank you for your answers.

You'll have to check local laws on the ultrasound. Many places require you to get an ultrasound before the abortion, but you're certainly not forced to view it. The cost ranges between $350-550 in the first trimester. The cost does often go up if you're in the second trimester because it requires a surgery. The cost may be covered by your insurance, but you'll have to look into that yourself.

I had an abortion in October of 2010. When I went in, they gave me a vaginal ultrasound because I was only 3 weeks, and the girl asked me if I wanted to see it. At this point it would have only been a dot anyway, but I declined. She said that was fine and didn't try to force me or guilt trip me into seeing it. (I had mine in Ohio)

By the time I actually recieved my abortion I was only a month along and it was $499. The abortion itself was $199 and the consultation and all that was $300. You can apply for help at the Planned Parenthood clinics, that's what I did. They ask you about your family's income and living situation to try to figure out what's best for you.

They do make you get an unltrasound but they don't make you look at it. They ask if you want to  look and know the sex and if it is twins. The cost dose go up. I went to planned parenthood and i had to pay $200 somthing.
