Recipe for spicy rusk

Okay, first off, the ingredients:

1 lb (450 g) plain/all purpose flour or bread flour/strong flour?
1/4 teaspoon (pinch) of salt?
5 teaspoons (25 ml) double acting baking powder (see note below)?
6 ? - 8 ? fl oz (185 -250 ml) potable water
Buy spices (optional, any brand, any type)?

Note: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and?
2 ? teaspoons (11? ml) cream of tartar may be substituted for the baking powder.

Another thing to add is that you could call this an economy rusk and I've tried to explain it in a simple manner. The use of spices is optional.

1. Preheat oven to 430 F (230 C).
2. Sieve the flour, salt, hot chilly spices and baking powder.
3. Add some water to make the dough.
4. Roll out the dough (12mm thick) and place it on a tray.
5. Place in oven, bake for 10 minutes at the same temperature.
6. Take it out from the oven, split it into half along its thickness and place on the tray with the opened face upwards. (use a fork)
7. Return to oven (reduce heat to 375 F ~190 C).
8. Take it out again and allow it to cool.
9. Use a grater to reduce it to about 3mm thick particles.
10. Store in an airtight container and eat when you're sad or hungry.
