Pornography, whats your view

Ok so Pornography is prevelant and popular, but what do many of you, who are you religious think, do you think God is ok with Pornography or not ok with it. please be vocal but respectful of all thoughts, answers and questions.

Have fun!!!

I don't think it's right (as you well know) but also it is the safer version of sex to some people.  (to be honest the only safe sex nowadays) but i think (because most men watch porn) there should be a limit and they shouldn't make porn their #1.

I don't think god cares about people's sex life. Sex is natural. Expressing your sexuality is good. Exploiting other people's sexuality for profit is not so good though...

Hi, Ilusione, how are you, I apologize for wating too long to respond to you.

Yes Sex is Natural, but was it God's intention to have sex exploited the way Pornography exploits it.
Can I ask you a question are you religious, and or read Bible

The main issue of pornography is the way the industry works. They take unsuspecting young adult girls who just want to model / act and give them drugs and alcohol to lower their inhibitions and pressure them to do sexual things. http://www.covenanteyes.com/2008/10/29/ex-porn-star-tells-the-truth-part-2/ theres hundreds of articles on it. I know christianity condems masturbation but as long as porn isnt involved, idk why its so bad.

I know there's a website, I forget what

I know there's a website, I forget what it's called that actually uses amateur uploads (actual couples filming themselves having sex) instead of just porn stars. I have a lot of issues with porn in general as well.
---Edit
As a religious person I like to think that I'd be more against porn that I am but I'm not. It has a lot of bad side effects so I do think people shouldn't watch it or endorse it for the health reasons (not being able to have sex because of the over stimulation and things like that) but I still think people are going to watch what they want to watch.

i think pornography is wrong not only cuz the bible says to think about things noble and pure but cuz it teaches us about sex thats not correct. and btw the only safe sex is in marrige. you may not be having actual sex when you look at it but your comitting it in your heart and God says thats just as bad. so i think its not okay and just cuz other ppl do it doesnt mean its ok. ppl also murder and steal but that doesnt make it right

personally just for myself I don't like porn and if two people are in a happy relationship and they both watch it together then that's their decision and im cool with it.

Well, if we're going by God in the bible, I'm sure he intended sex to be a form of love, affection and for people who care about each other to enjoy... so I can only imagine he'd view porn immoral for the fact it's exploited entertainment. Granted, I'm not super religious but that's what I've gathered. Besides the religious pont of view....

There is plenty of scientic proof the porn has long term effects on our brains. It can definitely be habit forming and many, many people become so used to porn they either.
a. Think real sex is going to be life porn. Expect women to like it rough, anal, name calling etc. OR more commonly...
b. Men and women are unable to be sexually satisfied with their real partner because porn is the only way they can become aroused. Hence erectile dysfunction in many men and detachment in relationships.

There are a lot of people who are choosing porn over relationships... it's a false sense of affection and simply shows people as objects. They get to watch the sex part without having to worry about another persons wants, needs, interests etc. Using their bodies but having no attachment, and not showing any depth to them as people. People are seeing fake sex on screen... actors being payed to fake it 95% of the time.

Now, I do realize there are plenty of men and women who get in to porn because they enjoy sex and want to get payed for it. While that seems like an innocent enough reason... many porn stars are subjected to abuse, humiliation, drugs, and end up with depression or suicidal thoughts. There are many former porn stars who have opened up about how awful their jobs in porn were. Lots of times they end up being punched, spit, and urinated on in rougher sceens and sometimes porn directors don't like to stop filming even when the actor asks.

Granted, that's the the moral side imo. I don't like seeing people being treated like that but I also don't like how it becomes addictive and twists people's perceptions on sex either.

In the end, I'm pretty anti-porn. I don't really see many pros vs the cons. I know there are instances where there isn't abuse too but that doesn't change that it's still effecting a lot of the viewers. If I had to choose, I would feel much safer viewing real couples having sex vs actors who hardly know each other. At least there may be real intimacy and feelings involved.

However, I have known people who strugged with porn addiction and have seen exs prefer watching so I'm against it. I'm sure if there is a God out there, he wouldn't like how negatively it effects people either.

There is nothing wrong with porn and there is nothing wrong with sex. At all. The end.

IT is a true disservice to yourself and your sexuality to go by the book and to not experience sexuality in all forms

God said sex is natural, and it is, but he also said we should keep out bodies pure, not prostituting them. Sex is fine, but sharing that with the world God forbid

I'm raised in a catholic family and went to catholic school my whole life. I see nothing wrong with porn. Mainly because it's an indiviuals business and choice what they want to have as a job, for short or long term. As for what it says in the bible, I find the bible to be irrelevent. It says a lot of things in the bible that people don't follow.?
