What are your latest book purchases?

So last Saturday I went on a shopping spree (for clothes mainly) but around the area where I was shopping is a Barnes & Noble. I, unfortunately, can get lost in that store for hours and would buy a zillion dollars worth of books if I could.

My latest book purchases are:

The Silmarillion by J.R.R Tolkien.
Voice of the Night by Dean Koontz.
The Funhouse by Dean Koontz.
Marilyn Monroe by Barbara Leaming.

And you?

I am reading 1984 by George Orwell a very interesting read.
I am waiting for Laurell K Hamilton to put out the next book In her Anita Blake series as well.

Today I bought three books...
Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less by Jeffrey Archer
The Art of Murder by Michael White
Girl Runner by Carrie Snyder

I have buy The Art of Murder on Amazon.com

I recently bought The Night Circus & Beautiful Ruins.

I had to buy a new copy of Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, so I also got:

The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

It was free but I still took it anyway on the book app on my iPhone the last of the Mohicans

The Lovely Bones.
I'm actually quite shocked to say what I am about to say, but I think I prefer the movie to the book. I will still finish it (slowly) but I'm not really digging Alice Sebold's writing style.

NocturnalMistress:The Lovely Bones.

I felt the same! I read the book long before the movie came out, but I had trouble finishing it. Her writing style definitely isn't my favourite.
