(Want to skip to his drinks with Lexi?)
-
"soon enough he'll be a teenager." He said, wondering where the time went.?

(Sure!)
Alexa thanked the bartender for her martini as she crossed her legs and took a sip waiting for Rhys to arrive.
(Is GG going to get a pic of them?)
-
"Stop, i don't want to think about them growing up," Callie said softly.

(she can. who is GG? is it Alexa?)
Rhys walked over to Alexa as soon as he saw her. He told himself this didn't mean anything, ignoring that he was still?hung up on her. "Evening Lex."
-
"Its going to happen whether we think about it or not." Everett sighed.

(There was never someone who was GG... yet)
"Hello stranger," Alexa smirked as she took a sip of her martini.
-
"Well let's not think about it right now," Callie said.

(Who shall it be?)
"Started drinking without me I see." Rhys smirked and took a seat.
-
"think happy thoughts Cal." Everett laughed.

"He just set it down," Alexa said, referring to the bartender.
(idk lol didn't think that far)
-
"Do you even know me?" Callie asked with a chuckle as she looked up at him.

"Could've waited for me." Rhys teased before ordering a drink for himself.
-
"I know you're stronger than you think." Everett pointed out.

"What did the Mrs. have to say about you meeting with me?" She asked, she and Claire never really?got along when they dated in college.
-
"Not all the time," She said.

"She doesn't know." Rhys admitted. "But she won't care. She's not the jealous type."
-
"you don't have to be strong all the time." Everett reminded her.

"Mhm," Alexa smirked with a raised eyebrow as she took another sip of her drink.
-
"It's not that simple," Callie said.

"Why did you want to meet for drinks?" Rhys asked curiously.
-
"it is if you try." Everett told her.?

"Just to catch up, it's been so long," Alexa told him simply.
-
"Try not to be strong?" Callie asked as she let out a pathetic chuckle.

"Never wanted to catch up before." Rhys pointed out. "Why the change?"
-
"Try to relax. Let me deal with some things for you." Everett explained.

"When I got assigned to the article and you were on it," Alexa shrugged.
--
"Like what?" Callie asked him.

Rhys nodded and sipped his drink. "How's the magazine life treating you?"
-
"for starters, I'll plan Ollie's party. You don't need to worry about it." Everett told her.

"It's great, I absolutely love it," Alexa told him with a smile.
--
"Oh no you won't," Callie said as she sat up to face him, "You know that is one of my favorite things to do."

"Still want to be editor in chief someday?" Rhys asked, remembering her old goals.
-
"it's also stressful for you." Everett reminded her.

"Of course," Alexa smirked, "How's life as Chief Executive Officer?" She asked him.
--
"But I have to plan his party," Callie told him.

"Perfect as usual." Rhys grinned. "Always been that way."
-
"you don't have to. You could leave it to me." He told her.?

"I knew you'd always be great," Alexa smiled, "Never traveled like you wanted to though have you?" She asked.
--
"Not his tenth birthday," Callie said, "You know how much it means to me," She said as she placed a hand on his.

"A little. Hard to with work." He pointed out.
-
"Theres got to be something I can take off your hands for you." Everett said, wanting to help her.

"I'm sure Claire likes to travel still, you don't take her on lavish vacations?" She asked.
-
Callie shrugged, "It would be weird for me not to be in control," She said with a nervous chuckle.

"We actually just got back from vacation." Rhys told her.
-
"You know you're not a single parent right?" Everett smirked. "I can share the load."

"Is that so? And where did you venture off to?" Alexa asked.
-
"I've felt like I've been a single parent for the past few years though," Callie told him softly.

"My familys beach house." Rhys told her. "You remember it?"
-
"You don't have to anymore." Everett assured her.

"That was my favorite place you took me out of all those lavish places," Alexa told him.
-
"is that a promise?" She asked.

"I find that hard to believe." He laughed and sipped his drink.
-
"Yes." Everett smiled softly. "I promise."

"I was a selfish brat and you spoiled me, taking me places I only dreamed of going before meeting you," Alexa said, "But your families' home was the most special to me," She told him.
-
Callie continued to look at him, "I'll hold you to that."

Rhys listened and downed his drink. "My family asks about you sometimes."
-
"You can." Everett smiled and pecked her lips. "I'm not going anywhere."

"They do?" Alexa smirked, "And how are Mr. and Mrs. Pennington?"
-
"You better not," Callie told him before leaning in to kiss him again.

"Miserable as ever." Rhys smirked. "What about your folks?"
-
Everett kissed her back and put his arm around her.

"They're doing well," Alexa said, "They're empty nesters now, both my brothers are in college."
-
Callie pulled away slowly, "Didn't think we'd end up like this 11 years ago," She chuckled.

"They grow up so fast don't they?" Rhys teased her.
-
"How did you think we'd end?" Everett asked, pushing her hair behind her ear.

"Know it all little brothers, they haven't changed," Alexa chuckled.
-
Callie shook her head, "Not like this," She ?chuckled, "But being 25 and naive, thinking I was so grown up..."

"How are they doing?" Rhys asked her.
-
"Do you regret it?" Everett asked as he looked at their hands together.
